WVU defensive tackle Berry arrested

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia defensive tackle Scooter Berry has been arrested stemming from an incident outside a Morgantown bar.

Morgantown Municipal Court records show Berry was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Sunday on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was released on $200 bond and faces a Nov. 11 hearing.

The 23-year-old Berry has been slowed by injuries this season. He missed two games with a shoulder sprain and injured an ankle making a tackle against Marshall on Saturday.

Berry is tied for the team lead with 25 career starts. But he has played as a backup the last two games and has just four tackles and a sack this season. Sophomore Josh Taylor has replaced Berry in the starting lineup.
