BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Clearbrook Waterworks in British Columbia has repeated as champion of the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting competition.
Organizers say Clearbrook was judged world’s best tap water at the annual festival this weekend. Last year, Clearbrook shared the top spot with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, which services much of Los Angeles.
Organizers say Hamilton, Ohio was judged to have the best municipal water in the United States. Also honored for having tasty municipal water were the Village of Montrose, B.C. and Bath, Berkeley Springs’ official municipality.
The water tasting is the centerpiece of Berkeley Springs’ three-month Winter Festival of Waters. Travel Berkeley Springs organizes the event to bring winter tourists to the area.
