CHARLESTON —
The West Virginia Troopers Association has set up a fund to help the families of two troopers who were mortally wounded during a traffic stop.
Association president Doug Gunnoe says in a news release that the Fallen Trooper fund is a way to show thanks to the troopers who sacrificed their lives and to support their families.
Cpl. Marshall Bailey and Trooper Eric Workman were shot last week near the Wallback exit of Interstate 79 in Roane County. Gunman Luke Baber was slain in a shootout.
Funeral services for Bailey were held Sunday. Services for Workman are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Charleston Civic Center.
