FAIRMONT —
There’s been nothing easy for North Marion’s football team the past couple of years, and that includes quarterback Shaun McCoy.
McCoy is in his senior season as the quarterback of the Huskies and the only returning starting quarterback among the Marion County teams.
But two years ago he was sidelined by a serious illness that put his football career in jeopardy.
As a sophomore McCoy played just four games before being forced from action. In those games he was 18-of-39 for 250 yards.
He returned to action his junior season as the starting quarterback for the Huskies and passed for nearly 2,000 yards in 2009.
