FAIRMONT —
The 92nd playing of the annual East-West Game added another thrilling finish to the rivalry.
East Fairmont, which trailed Fairmont Senior the entire game, scored with under a minute left in the fourth quarter to get within six points, 27-21.
The Bees tried for the onside kick and recovered it when Matt Hopwood plucked the ball out of the air.
But with no timeouts the Bee offense couldn't get close to scoring and Fairmont Senior took home a 27-21 victory, running its winning streak in the game to five.
