FAIRMONT —
A pair of big games are scheduled for tonight as Fairmont Senior visits North Marion for the first leg of the Marion County championship battle and East Fairmont tries to rebound against a highly rated University team.
Fairmont Senior travels to Rachel to take on the Huskies and hopes to build on last week’s victory over Robert C. Byrd.
The Polar Bears moved to No. 8 in the Charleston Daily Mail prep football poll, voted on on by sports writers around the state, with the win.
The Huskies will need to improve their protection up front this week after University pretty much shut down quarterback Shaun McCoy and the passing game last week.
The positive thing for North Marion was that Taylor Gum and the rushing game showed a lot of promise.
