FAIRMONT — Marion County’s three high school football programs don’t see a lot of turnover in the head coaching ranks.
North Marion welcomed only the third head coach in school history last week when Daran Hays was chosen to succeed Gerry White on the Huskies’ sidelines.
And just like the last coaching search the county saw — J.L. Abbott taking over for Frank Moore at Fairmont Senior — it looks as if the administration and board of education got it right again.
Hays just might be the change North Marion’s football program needs to break it from a three-year long slump that produced only one victory and the schools first ever winless season.
