PLEASANT VALLEY — Fairmont Post 17’s American Legion baseball team is loaded with talent.
With players from East Fairmont, Fairmont Senior and North Marion, Post 17 proved that with a 19-1 win over Preston Wednesday at East Fairmont High School.
“We’re hitting the ball well,” Fairmont manager Marty Morgan said. “These guys are out having fun and playing ball. They are really coming along nicely.”
To go along with the offensive explosion, Post 17 got four strong innings out of Gage Chichester on the mound.
Chichester earned the win, allowing no runs on one hit and striking five.
