Haller shooting like a senior.
For the North Marion freshman, Megan Haller had a game of her life against the Fairmont Senior girls’ basketball team on Friday evening at the Woody Williams Armory.
The Huskies would come back to win in the sectional final, 51-50.
“It’s something how you’re losing the whole game and then you go ahead the last few seconds — that’s the type of game it was,” North’s head coach Mike Parrish said. “It was possessions, possessions, possessions.”
Trailing big with three minutes remaining in the game, the Huskies’ hopes were diminishing; however, Haller had a different idea.
Her idea was to take the ball and shoot.
“It’s really just a matter of calming down and shooting — just letting the instincts take over,” Haller said.
