FAIRMONT — All in all, this has been a pretty ho-hum week for Fairmont Senior’s football team.
The Polar Bears had a good string of practices, according to coach J.L. Abbott. They watched film. They ate dinner together. Admittedly got a lot done, and did so without any injuries.
If it sounds business-like, even a little boring, that’s kind of the point.
And as a result, fifth-seeded Fairmont Senior believes it is fully prepared for tonight’s Class AAA quarterfinal game with No. 13 University at East-West Stadium.
“We’re ready,” Abbott said. “I wouldn’t want to wait another day to play.”
