FAIRMONT — Fairmont Senior’s football team might not be entering this week’s East-West Game with an undefeated mark but the Polar Bears will be the No. 4 team in the state.
The Bears’ 35-7 loss to still-undefeated Bridgeport only knocked FSHS down two spots in this week’s West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission’s computer playoff ratings.
Fairmont and Bridgeport swapped places in this week’s ratings with the Indians moving up from a tie for fourth to No. 2 behind also undefeated Brooke.
The Bears, on the other hand, fell from No. 2 into a tie for No. 4 with 8-1 Spring Valley.
