WILLIAMSTOWN —
East Fairmont crowded two individual wrestling champions and took third as a team at the annual Williamstown Bob Zide Rumble Saturday.
The Bees, ranked eighth in Class AAA in the latest wvmat.com poll, finished with 144.5 team points. The total was behind team champ Independence (185) and runner-up Wirt County (183)
East had a pair of title winners in Garrett Onderko (160 pounds) and Jesse Roman (170). Both earned wins via pin, with the Onderko bumping his season record to 37-5 and Roman improving to 36-4.
Other Bees’ place-winners include Brody Nesselrotte (second place, 106 pounds); Hayden Stewart (second, 138); Anthony Rundle (third, 145); Trevor Edge (fourth, 182); and Logan Bowman (third, 285).
East is back in action Thursday when it hosts crosstown rival Fairmont Senior.

West Fairmont’s Junior Wrestling team crowned several individual champions at the recent Clarksburg Panther Classic.
Nolan Bushko, Drew Laird and Caleb Masters each took home titles for the Polar Cubs, while Caden Michalski, Andrew Hansen and Tyler Harrison nabbed second-place finishes.
Blake Barkley and Danny Booth were both third in their respective weight classes, while Maddison Jones, Jace Dalton and Hayden Morales placed fourth.
At the 25th annual West Fairmont Wrestling Tournament, Trison Wills, Nolan Bushko and Zach Frazier each won titles.
Four other West Fairmont wrestlers — Karson Brand, Alec Cross, Andrew Hansen and Drew Laird — each took second.
Hudson Brand, Marko Tarley and Danny Booth nabbed third-place finishes for the Polar Cubs. Maddison Jones, Blake Barkley, Hayden Morales, Tristan Schweizer and Tanner Hoskinson all took fourth.

Fairmont Senior’s wrestling team bumped its season record to 27-11 with victories over Nicholas County (69-9) and host Buckhannon (54-24) Friday night.
The Polar Bears, ranked ninth in the state, also dropped a match Friday to No. 3 Huntington, 42-27.
In all, four Fairmont Senior wrestlers went unbeaten. They included Brent Wyne (126 pounds), Vinnie Libonati (182), Jaron Summers (195) and Denzel Pitts (285).
Colin Masters (106), Austin Patterson (113), Anthony Alvaro (132) and Vincent Delligatti (220) each logged 2-1 marks, and Tyron Lodge won both of his matches at 138.
Chris Carvillano (106), Joel Garcia (132), Wyatt Crawley (160), Josey Heaney (160) and Braden Mick (145) each added single victories for the Polar Bears.

East Fairmont’s Junior High girls’ basketball team defeated crosstown rival West Fairmont, 46-14, in recent middle school action.
Leading the Hornets was Sadie Cowger with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Lexi Casuccio had 9 points and 5 rebounds, and Macey Nuzum added 7 points and 8 rebounds.
Felicity VanGilder contributed six points and grabbed nine rebounds. Also scoring were Sydney Postlewait (four), while Bailey Frederick, Gabby Yerace and Ivy Davis added two points apiece and Kayla Snyder chipped in a foul shot.
