FAIRMONT —
Anticipation mounts.
Fairmont Senior’s girls’ soccer team has to wait four additional days to play in its state semifinal game versus Pikeview.
The game was originally set for Friday at 6:30 p.m., but due to the weather conditions, the game was pushed to Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m.
“I initially thought, ‘Wow this is the gitty-up row where you’re ready to go,’ and then it’s not going to happen,” said Fairmont’s head coach Debbie Cattafesta. “However, we’ve made adjustments in pre-game mental training and on-the-field training. We’ll definitely be good to go on Tuesday.”
This week, the Polar Bears will be able to get acquainted with a grass surface, since their home field is East-West Stadium and it consist of field turf.
