FAIRMONT —
Fairmont Senior rolled past Westside on Friday evening, 78-57.
The main cause of its win in dramatic fashion was senior Travon Horton, who wove his way through the Renegades’ defense.
At times, Westside looked confused because of the quickness that Horton provides when playing his usual position of point, mixed in with some shooting guard.
In the second quarter alone, Horton found open shot opportunities, while also driving the ball into the lane. He finished that quarter with 11 points.
When the game was in the books, Horton provided the Polar Bears with clutch shots and 27 points.
For his efforts, Horton is the latest Times West Virginian Multi-Media Good Sports Player of the Week.
Fairmont Senior is back in action Dec. 27 when the Polar Bears head to Westside.
