PLEASANT VALLEY — It was an emotional night Friday in the East Fairmont High School gym.
Before the start of the Big Ten contest against the visiting Lewis County Minutemen, the Bee basketball family honored former standout Jacob Bower, who tragically passed away last year while attending West Point.
The team presented Bower's family with his retired game jersey and a check for the fund established in Jacob's memory.
But once it was time for tip-off it was all business for the Bees.
East started slowly but pulled away from the Minutemen to cruise to a 78-61 victory.
