MORGANTOWN —
There’s always tomorrow.
That is the attitude veteran coach Steve Sandor and his Fairmont Senior swim teams are taking into today’s state finals at the West Virginia University Natatorium after the Polar Bears had an up-and-down day to open the annual meet on Thursday.
“I think we had our great meet last week,” Sandor said.
After winning 10 straight boys’ team crowns and more recently shattering times and personal bests while in Morgantown, FSHS didn’t make much headway on Thursday. Just handful of swimmers topped their seed times, and only senior Logan Demyon has a chance for a state title today.
