RACHEL —
Little by little, North Marion’s wrestling team is making strides.
It only continued Friday night at the school’s annual holiday quad, as the host Huskies rolled to wins over Grafton (58-22), Herbert Hoover (46-30) and Williamstown (40-39).
"We’re gaining confidence every match,” North coach Dave Tennant said. “I keep forgetting how young we are sometimes. We have kids with wrestling experience, but high school is another level. We’re starting to get comfortable. Even in our losses, I saw a lot of good stuff.”
In all, four North wrestlers went 3-0. They included Ryan Elliott (120 pounds), Austin Stanley (132), Anthony Tiano (170), Chance Haught (182) and Tyler Arnett (195).
