CHARLESTON — Maybe it’s just the wrong end of the floor for North Marion’s girls’ basketball team.
For two games in a row, the Huskies have struggled shooting at the left basket, if you are sitting behind the North bench, no more than Friday’s semifinal matchup with Huntington.
The Huskies shot 0-of-18 from 3-point range during the first half, and 11-of-39 from the field. In Wednesday’s quarterfinal win over Ripley, North was 2-of-11 from 3 and 9-of-23 overall shooting at that basket.
“It seems like we like the other basket more,” North Marion junior foward Hailey Garrett said.
North seemed to shoot much better at the other end of the floor, as they ran away from both Ripley and Huntington in the second half.
