FAIRMONT —
Fairmont Senior’s girls’ lacrosse team opened the 2010 season with a big test Thursday as Greater Latrobe (Pa.) High School came to town.
And FSHS passed.
The Polar Bears erased a 5-4 halftime deficit to pick up their first win of the season, 7-6.
“It’s a big win for us,” FSHS head coach Jon Cain said. “This is a great start for us. We had several girls out for various reasons and I knew Latrobe would be one of the tougher teams on the schedule this year.”
Makenzi Robinson led the Polar Bears with four goals and an assist in the game.
