Everywhere we go, the Times West Virginian’s Grid Guessers hear from readers about how they stack up against our picks.
So we are giving our readers the chance to make their picks and make them count.
Log on to our new Facebook page — we’re pretty easy to find. Our website, www.timeswv.com, has a nifty little Facebook box that will send you right to our page. While your there, by the way, click “Like” and you’ll get breaking news updates, photos, videos and more through your news feed on Facebook.
And also while you’re there, find the Grid Guessers Picks on our discussion board for Week 1. Make your picks for all 15 games right there on the board, including scores, and see how you fare from week to week. Make sure to post the scores, too, in case we need a tie-breaker.
You have to make your picks before the first kick-off each week — that’s 7 p.m. Friday this week — just to be fair.
And the lucky winner (though it’s not about luck — we take our picks seriously around here) will be featured in the Grid Guessers Column the next week with their picks. Even better, there’s $50 on the line for the winner.
The games this week are tough, but we know our loyal sports fans study game results, stats, strength of schedule and rosters just as much as we do. And just wait until we start adding college and professional football in the mix — that’s when the real fun begins.
