Tom Lewis, who has been assisting the East Fairmont High School wrestlers since 1970, will be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony at Stillwater, Okla., will be Nov. 28.
The West Virginia ceremony will be in Charleston on Sunday afternoon.
Lewis said he’s the first person from East Fairmont ever to win this award.
“Most people can’t believe it has happened to me,” he said.
Other inductees from Marion County have been Ryan Courtney, Bob DeLorenzo, Joe Naternicola, Jim Feltz and Roy “Punk” Michael.
Lewis anticipates between 30 and 50 people who will be attending the dinner with him him.
