Bridgeport thumps North boys: VIDEO AND PHOTOS

RACHEL — The No. 9 North Marion boys’ basketball team did not have much going for it Wednesday.

The Huskies turned the ball over, missed shots, missed rebounds. You name it, and if it hurts a team’s chance at winning a basketball game, the Huskies probably did it Wednesday against Bridgeport.

When it was all said and done, the Indians left Rachel with a 30-point, 66-36 win against North.

North never was ahead against Bridgeport as the Indians raced out to a 20-8 lead after one quarter, and other than a brief run in the second quarter by the Huskies, never looked back.

Huskies’ head coach Chris Freeman said it was a matter of Bridgeport (13-6) doing all the small things right while North did not.
