FAIRMONT —
Stoller is a baller.
Fairmont Senior’s sophomore sensation, Emily Stoller, completely took the game over on Friday evening versus Ravenswood.
During the Polar Bears’ 47-45 win, Stoller drilled 17 points — four coming by way of the free throw line down the stretch in the final period.
“I wanted the ball late in the game,” Stoller said. “During our timeout, I told coach that I wanted the ball because their defense was showing open lanes. It gave me an option of passing it away or going in for a layup.”
Stoller chose option No. 2, taking the ball through the lane with authority.
The result?
A pair of free-throw opportunities with 1:14 remaining in the game at a time when FSHS was down 44-43.
