KINGWOOD —
Once again, East Fairmont was its own worst enemy.
The Bees, who visited the struggling Preston Knights with thoughts of righting their own ship, played a bizarre game start to finish.
The result was the Knights, converting a two-point attempt with 4:29 to play, to defeat the Bees on homecoming Friday night, 20-19.
“We just were not good enough,” a frustrated East Fairmont head coach Bill Haddox said. “We need to practice harder.”
For East it was a game of wasted opportunities.
