RACHEL — Fairmont Senior's football team shrugged off a slow start with a furious second half rally en route to a 26-10 victory over host North Marion on Friday night.
The Polar Bears, who trailed 10-6 at halftime, scored 20 unanswered points after intermission.
Fairmont Senior (1-1, 1-1 Big 10) has won eight straight over North (0-2, 0-1).
The Polar Bears fumbled five times, losing four, but got a series of big plays for scores in the second half. Ryder Skarzinski hit Shaquille Washington on a 59-yard halfback pass; Noah Harmon had a 58-yard scoring run; and Washington pulled in a 17-yard scoring throw from Matt Robbins.
