Fairmont State men’s basketball team is hosting three competitive schools this week — Pitt-Johnstown, Alderson-Broaddus and West Liberty.
“It’s a huge three-game stand,” men’s head coach Jerrod Calhoun said. “There is still a lot of games left in our conference, so the league title is still up for grabs. Obviously, having four out of five games at home should help us.”
Although the men’s team is coming off a win Saturday against West Virginia State, the women’s team suffered another heartbreaker. Having an opportunity to get back on pace during these next few games is a necessity for the Lady Falcons.
“Coaches tell you that we take games one at a time because you’ll lose them one at a time if you don’t,” women’s head coach Steve McDonald said. “We do have four of our next five games at home and this is an opportunity for us to get back on the winning track.”
The Lady Falcons will begin play at home against Pitt-Johnstown beginning at 5:30 p.m. Monday, with the men’s game following at 7:30 p.m.
