North Marion’s head golf coach Chance Hearns is hoping for success as he has set big goals for the 2012 season.
The Huskies are returning five seniors and a junior from last year’s squad. The group of upperclassmen plans on making a huge splash in the Big Ten this season.
“We are looking for an exciting season,” Hearns said. “I try to restrain myself from getting too excited because with this amount of talent, if we don’t accomplish our goals, the season will be a major letdown. I take it day by day to see if they want to come to work and stay focused. It takes a special team to be a state champion. Not everybody can do it, but our team is special.”
