FSU, Brickstreet announce gift for scoreboard at Duvall-Rosier Field

FAIRMONT — The new scoreboard features state of the art graphics with playback capabilities, including instant and slow-motion replay. The video screen will offer the opportunity for University to highlight other FSU activities. The current scoreboard is well over 25 years old, and often parts are not available when it needs repairs.

"Our new scoreboard will mean a greatly enhanced game day experience for our football fans. We have been working for a number of years on this project, and we are so grateful that BrickStreet has stepped up to partner with us in this long awaited and exciting development," said Dr. Fred Fidura, Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

"BrickStreet has provided not only wonderful support to Fairmont State athletics and in other areas, but they've participated actively as well. We appreciate them recognizing the opportunities available here and contributing so generously through the years," said Kim Pelillo, President of the Fairmont State Foundation, Inc.

The additional cameras and scoreboard video feed will make possible high quality streaming video of games. The video display will allow for posting animation and graphics. In the future, sponsors will be able to purchase commercials between quarters and at half-time.

The scoreboard can be easily reconfigured for other sports such as soccer or rugby and offers custom captions for times when the field may be used by public schools or for community events.

"This new scoreboard is a terrific enhancement to Duvall-Rosier Field and will provide our fans with a first-class experience. We have had huge crowds over the years, and the scoreboard will certainly enhance our game day atmosphere. We are very appreciative of the support from BrickStreet to help make this dream a reality," said FSU athletic director Rusty Elliott.
