Getting it done when it matters most.
During the 2012 boys’ soccer season, East Fairmont’s Jesse Roman recorded career highs in assists that earned him the honor of being named first-team All-State Class AA-A Midfielder of the Year.
“It’s a great achievement. My brother (Vince) and Nolan Harvath were NCAC players of the year, so I was fortunate enough to get to keep the chain rolling,” said Roman. “I was the first Big 10, but it’s great that all the coaches thought highly enough of me to give me that award. It was kind of shocking at first, but I looked at it and said, ‘Well I earned it.’”
Roman was the pilot that guided the Bees to their first conference title in the sport in school history (15-4-2). He played with confidence and attitude, while striving for one goal — to be the best.
