Nicholas County shuts down Bees: PHOTOS

FAIRMONT — East Fairmont’s football team continues to struggle against Nicholas County.

The Bees, facing the Grizzlies for the second time in three years at Fairmont State University’s Duvall-Rosier Field, fell into a deep hole in the first half and couldn’t climb back out.

East managed to reach the end zone only one time, falling to Nicholas, 25-7.

Both teams had to deal with playing without a scoreboard or game clock. The game time was kept on the field by the officials.

“We just didn’t do as well as I thought we would,” East Fairmont head coach Bill Haddox said. “They came in with a different defense, which we had to adjust to, and we didn’t do some of the little things.
