FAIRMONT —
Luke Hrapchak had a week to remember for East Fairmont during the Bees’ 28-14 win over Liberty.
Hrapchak couldn’t be stopped during the game against the Mountaineers of Liberty as he racked up yard after yard.
In the rushing category, Hrapchak led Marion County in every statistic. He ignited EFHS’s offense with 20 carries, 143 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 7.3 yards per carry.
There were times in the game when Liberty looked confused because Hrapchak was running over, around and through its defense.
Because of his efforts, Hrapchak is the first fall athlete of the 2012 season to be named Times West Virginian Multi-Media Good Sports Player of the Week.
The Bees are set for action in two weeks at home against Nicholas County at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7.

“I am from Fairmont but have lived in Boise, Idaho, for the past 21 years,” Michele Eates Lewis said. “I flew home for a visit a few weeks ago and was touring the Capitol in Charleston with my brother. It was a beautiful day, and I snapped this photo.”
