Betty Ann Leggett

Betty Ann Bickers Leggett, 79, went to be with the Lord following a short illness Friday (June 13, 2008) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born May 28, 1929 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Bernard Basil Bickers and Florence Edna Jamieson Bickers.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William Randall Leggett of Fairmont. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by four children, Randall Richard Leggett and his wife Marilyn of Niceville, Fla., Elizabeth “Bunny” Guido and her husband J.P., Bernard Keith Leggett and his fiance Jeannine Thobois and Mimi Jane Leggett, all of Fairmont; two grandsons, Michael Scott Leggett of Los Angeles and Craig Harrison Guido and his wife Allison of Boston; her sister, Patty Day; nephew Mark Day and niece Penny Rexrode; brothers-in-law, Denzil Leggett and his wife Barbara, and Duane Leggett and his wife Bernadine; and sister-in-law Carolyn Sue Gaston and her husband Sam; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Leggett was a homemaker who loved to take care of her house and children. She devoted so much of her love and care for her disabled daughter Jane. She loved to play bridge with her many friends, but most of all loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairmont. She had been active with the Ladies Church Circles for many years.

She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. The funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Brian Seders officiating. The committal service will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport.

    Mildred Ellen Piscitelli, 93, a longtime resident of Fairmont, died Wednesday afternoon (May 5, 2010) at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston. 

    She was born on May 20, 1916, in Rowlesburg, daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Scalise Serian.

    William Wayne Hendershot, 82 of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday (May 6, 2010) at Crestview Manor at Jane Lew. 

    He was born Jan. 29, 1928, at Myersdale, Pa., a son of the late Samuel and Mary Myers Hendershot.

    Martin Ray Cochran, 74, of Pleasant Valley, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (May 4, 2010) at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

    He was born in Idamay on Feb. 2, 1936, the last surviving child born to the late John Edward Cochran and Mary Jane Keener Cochran.
