Madge Ball

Madge K. Ball, age 99, of Columbus, died Wednesday (Feb. 3, 2010) at home.

She was a member of Wesleyan Bible Holiness Church and a former member of Hope United Brethren Church.

She was a retired teacher from Columbus Public Schools and also taught school in West Virginia for 19 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Ball; brothers, Leo and Carl Kennedy; and her sister, Posey Gordenstein.

She is survived by sons, Larry Ball of Upper Arlington and James Ball of Columbus; granddaughters, Heidi Ball and her husband James Shaffer of Marysville and Michaela Ball of Florida; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Shaffer; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The visitation wil take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Graumlich Funeral Home, 1351 S. High St., Columbus, where the service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Lyndell Durr officiating. Interment will be at Fernwood Cemetery.

    Mildred Ellen Piscitelli, 93, a longtime resident of Fairmont, died Wednesday afternoon (May 5, 2010) at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston. 

    She was born on May 20, 1916, in Rowlesburg, daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Scalise Serian.

    William Wayne Hendershot, 82 of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday (May 6, 2010) at Crestview Manor at Jane Lew. 

    He was born Jan. 29, 1928, at Myersdale, Pa., a son of the late Samuel and Mary Myers Hendershot.

    Fred was born Nov. 29, 1936, son of Beulah K. Hamrick, a resident of the Tygart Health Care Center in Fairmont, and the late Bilis L. Hamrick.

    Martin Ray Cochran, 74, of Pleasant Valley, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (May 4, 2010) at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

    He was born in Idamay on Feb. 2, 1936, the last surviving child born to the late John Edward Cochran and Mary Jane Keener Cochran.
