William Alan Watson began his infinite journey on Monday (Sept. 14, 2009).
Known to all as Alan, he was born to Charles William Watson and Olive Louise (Dernberger) Watson on March 16, 1952, in Wheeling. Alan was a graduate of Triadelphia High School and West Virginia University, where he earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering, and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his daughters Jacqueline, Beverly, Carolyn and grandson Elijah; brothers Dale and David; and his father.

He was born in Idamay on Feb. 2, 1936, the last surviving child born to the late John Edward Cochran and Mary Jane Keener Cochran.
