Wanetta Wilson

Wanetta W. Wilson, 90, of Fairview, died Sunday (Dec. 9, 2012) at St. Barbara’s Nursing Home in Monongah.

Wanetta was born May 27, 1922 in Rivesville, daughter of the late Arthur Maxwell Wildman Sr. and M. Knightie (Ballah) Wildman.

She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her four daughters where her greatest pride and joy. She was a very generous person and an excellent cook who loved spending time with her family.

Wanetta attended University High School in Morgantown and attended St. John’s United Methodist Church at Bassnettville near Fairview, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Keystone Homemakers Club. She was retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Plant where she worked as a selector.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Wilson, on Feb. 11, 1989; two brothers, Arthur Wildman Jr. and Ezekiel Wildman; a sister, Marguerite White; granddaughter, Melissa Radcliff; and a son-in-law, Ron Radcliff.

Survivors include four daughters, Judith Radcliff of Barrackville, Dollie Sumpter and husband Mark of Clarksburg, Mary Masters and husband Robert of Fairview, and Bonnie Curtis and husband Richard of Fairmont; grandchildren, Ron Radcliff Jr. and wife Audrey, Michelle Radcliff and husband Douglas, Lee Sumpter and wife Kristal, Shelly Haug and husband Steve, David Masters and wife Nancy, M. Jean Garman and husband Chris, Richard Curtis Jr. and Joseph Curtis; grandchildren, Molly, Emma and Piper Radcliff, Eli, Anna and Isaac Sumpter, Gabriella, Juliana, Christina, Kolbe, Francesca and Jonas Haug, and Lucas, Jacob and Elizabeth Garman; one sister-in-law, Dasiy Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at Domico Funeral Home, Curry Chapel, 100 Grant St., Fairview, from 2-8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Duane Stiles officiating. Burial will follow at Monumental Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah for their loving care during her stay there. They also acknowledge the kindness and help of Hospice.
