Agnes A. Conley passed away Sunday (Nov. 18, 2012) in Boulder, Colo., after a short illness.
She was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Fairmont, to O.J. and Anne Kukuchka Conley.
She graduated from Monongah High School in 1948, furthering her education at Fairmont State University, Northwestern and the University of California in Berkeley.
Her career included a stint at Golf Digest Magazine in Chicago, later a position at the Pentagon, teaching in Berkeley and after moving to Boulder, Colo., in 1966, held the position of executive administrator until her retirement.
Her interests included reading, art, family and the love of travel, traveling extensively throughout her life, always with a return visit to West Virginia.
Survivors include a sister, Carolyn Keeley of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a niece, Kim and husband Peter Luptovic of Golden, Colo.; a nephew, Brad Lawson and wife Sue; four great-nephews, Josh, Ryan, Nicolas and Kyle of Troutdale, Ore.; an aunt, Helen K. Lancki of Parma, Ohio; and several cousins and friends scattered throughout the United States.
A remembrance ceremony will be held in her honor in Boulder, Colo., in January. Later her remains will be brought to Fairmont, by her sister, for private burial near her parents at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in her memory to a charity of your choice.
