Robert Clinton Maple Jr., 59, of Fairmont, died Wednesday morning (Feb. 13, 2013) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born in Fairmont on May 18, 1953, son of the late Robert Maple Sr. and Marjorie Bennett Adkins.
Robert was a convenience store manager and last worked at the Fairmart on Crematory Hill. He was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church and was also a master quilter.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Eates Maple; one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Andrea Maple of Fairmont; and four grandchildren, Kelcie and Cody Maple, Nathan and Zachary Davis. He also is survived by one sister, Kathryn Triantifilou and fiancé Johnny Morrison of Parkersburg; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ronald Maple of Fairmont and Timothy and Judy Maple of Buckhannon. He also is survived by special aunts, Sharon Knappins and Judith Haggerty, both of Fairmont, and Mary and Louis Duda of Morgantown; and a special cousin, Shawnna Knappins of Fairmont. He also is survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Christine Ezzi of Fairmont; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandchild, Dakota Maple.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, his body will be cremated.
