Lillie Mae Martin Vincent, 88, of Fairmont, passed away at 10:39 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 27, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.
She was born in Wyatt on June 29, 1924, a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Emma Jane Eddy Martin.
On Feb. 16, 1942, she married Floyd Thomas Vincent, who preceded her in death in 2002.
Surviving are four sons, John Thomas Vincent of Jane Lew, Franklin Dewaine Vincent and his wife Grace of Lost Creek, Herbert Luther Vincent and his wife Mary Alice of Bridgeport, and William Allen Vincent and his wife Rebecca of Grafton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Lee Vincent and Floyd Thomas Vincent Jr., in infancy; one grandson, Dwayne Allen Vincent; one brother, Burtis Brooks Martin; and two sisters, Rosa V. Martin Vincent Carder and Lennie Martin.
Lillie was a homemaker and member of the Church of All Nations in Gypsy, where she had been a devoted member for more than 50 years. In her younger days, she enjoyed camping and fishing at Spruce Knob Lake, and country music. She loved her children and grandchildren and was at her happiest when surrounded by her family.
Friends may call at Perine Funeral Home, U.S. 19 South, Shinnston, from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. today, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Tom Brown officiating. Interment will be in Vincent Cemetery.
