Nina Moore

Nina Lee Moore, 80, of Fairmont, passed away Friday (Jan. 25, 2013) at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 3, 1932, in Montrose, Barbour County, a daughter of the late Aubrey Thomas Harrison Moore and Lura Naomi Shaw Moore.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Rebecca Mattingly, Rosemary Lynch, Joy Nickolich, Aubrey Moore III and Okey J. Moore III; a special cousin and caregiver, Beverly Hope Keener; a sister in law, Mary Ann Moore; and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Nina was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the Gateway United Methodist Church. She was a member of the board of directors for the Fairmont-Marion County Transit Authority, the FMCTA Advisory Committee for A.D.A., and the Fairmont City A.D.A. Compliance Team.

Nina also enjoyed needle crafts, reading, her flowers and shopping. She also enjoyed attending her Bible Study class at Gateway United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Okey James Moore and Aubrey Moore Jr., and a sister, Lucille Anne Berry.

The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeffery Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery.
