Norval “Bud” Greathouse

Norval “Bud” Greathouse, 67, of Barrackville, died Friday (Jan. 4, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1945, in Calhoun County, son of the late Howard and Hazel Greathouse.

Bud was a member of Noah’s Ark Assembly of God in Fairview, Fairview Lions Club, U.M.W.A. and retired from Federal No. 2 coal mine.

Survivors include one son, Rodney Greathouse and his wife Suzanne of Farmington; two grandchildren, Tiffany Greathouse and Bobby Schlentner; two brothers, Pete Greathouse and wife Modrell of Florida, and Jim Greathouse of Spencer; one sister, Marian Steel and husband Mike of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Blendine Hibbs Greathouse; two sisters, Pauline Matheny and Juanita Byrd; and two brothers, John and Gene Greathouse.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Fairmont General Hospital and Steve and Debbie Anderson.

Friends and family may call at Noah’s Ark Assembly of God, Route 218 in Fairview, from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Pastor Dallas Stuzen officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
