Rose Audia, 96, of Fairmont, died Monday morning (Nov. 19, 2012) at her residence.

She was born in Fairmont on Aug. 20, 1916, daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Serra Spadafore.

Rose cooked and did catering at the Knights of Columbus. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.

Rose is survived by one son, Frank J. Audia Jr. of Fairmont; one daughter, Renee Wood of Fairmont; and her grandson, Ian Wood. She is also survived by many much loved nieces and nephews and also appreciated the love and respect she received from the Audia nieces and nephews, whom she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Audia, on Oct. 4, 1989; three sisters, Anna Pellillo, Catherine Prozillo and Grace DeMicco; and six brothers, Frank, John, James, Dom, Sam and Joe Spadafore.

Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, from 5-9 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Father Robert A. Perriello as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

A vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Inc., 1406 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554.
