Rosemary Louk

Rosemary Louk, 62, of Rivesville, and formerly of Fairmont, passed quietly from this life early Thursday morning (July 19, 2012) in her home after a long illness.

She was born in New Jersey on June 20, 1950, a daughter of the late Jesse and Vada Ruby Louk.

A loving mother and grandmother, Rosemary spent most of her life caring for others as a home health care provider. She enjoyed family times and listening to television, especially “Jeopardy!” She was Baptist by faith.

Ms. Louk is survived by three children: her daughter, Charlotte Lamar, and two sons, Joseph C. Lamar Sr., her primary caregiver, and Johnathon Lamar, all of Rivesville; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Dan Louk of Fairmont, Diane Louk of New Jersey, Linda Louk of Virginia and Wanda Louk of Virginia; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Anabelle and Butch Dean of Fairmont, Ella Shutzer of New Jersey and George Vedis of Grafton; five grandchildren, Joseph C. Lemar Jr., Stephen K. Lamar, Travis Davis, Dominick Lamar and Gabrielle Lamar; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Lamar; six brothers and one sister-in-law, Gary and Carolyn Louk and George “Bus,” Allen, Ted, Frank and Jesse Louk; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Isabelle Vedis, Lucille McKinley and Bill Shutzer.

It was Rosemary’s request that there be no visitation and that her body be cremated. Inurnment will be in Clermont Cemetery at a later date.
