Charity Colette Walker, 37, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday (Nov. 10, 2012) at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1975 in Fairmont, daughter of James Walker Jr. and Sandra Walker of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, survivors include a daughter, Te’Mihya Walker, and a son, Malique Walker of Morgantown; a brother, Nate Walker of Fairmont; a sister, Twyla Tustin and husband Bryan of Rivesville; maternal grandparents, Peggy and Bobby Delany of Pine Grove; nephew, A’Mariyon Walker of Fairmont; a niece, Maleri Tustin of Rivesville; and best friends, Brandi Buford of Sharon, Pa., and Yvette Bennett of Morgantown.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dante Scarborough; her maternal grandfather, Harold Longwell; and paternal grandparents, James and Vi Walker.
Prior to her death, Charity was a full-time student at West Virginia University. She was a graduate of Sharon High School in Sharon, Pa., and also attended YSU in Youngstown, Ohio. Charity loved music and enjoyed spending time with her children.
Family and friends may call at Morningstar Baptist Church in Fairmont from 6-8 p.m. Friday and from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday. Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. Wesley Dobbs officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens on East Grafton Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Charity Walker Memorial Fund, c/o Fairmont Federal Credit Union.
