Vicki Rae Scott, 67, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday (Feb. 13, 2013) at her home after a long illness.
She was born in 1945, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Argyl W. Hood and Elizabeth Besenyodi Hood Levinson.
She graduated from Barberton Senior High School and graduated college with a B.A. degree in 1967; she also served in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, Herbert L. Scott of Fairmont. She is also survived by one brother, Terry Neil Hood Sr. and special sister-in-law, Janice Hood; one son, Jeffrey Alan Scott; granddaughter, Krystal Rae Mapel; niece, Christine Marie Danis and her husband and four children; and two nephews, Terry Hood Jr. and children and Daniel Hood and family. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Elizabeth Ackerman-Reed and husband Arnold. She is also survived by her loving and adoring niece, Lori Peters and her husband Donald Peters Sr.; great-niece, Dawn Marie Peters and fiancé Ray Incorvaia; and two great-nephews, Donald Peters Jr. and his wife Amanda and Daniel Peters and his wife Alicia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her oldest brother, Argyl Wilbur Hood Jr.; and her daughter, Shella Rae Reece.
Vicki’s family would like to thank the many loving and helpful friends and neighbors from West Virginia, Ohio and Florida.
In keeping with Vicki’s wishes, her body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 165 Meadowdale Road, Fairmont
