Martha Ann Yost Bell

Martha Ann Yost Bell, 84, of Sistersville, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 23, 2012) at Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born May 18, 1928, in Mannington, a daughter of the late Robert Merle Yost and Ruth Shaver Yost.

Martha enjoyed playing golf at the Sistersville Country Club, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She graduated from Mannington High School, and she was a member of the Sistersville United Methodist Church.

Martha is survived by her three sons, John (Lisa) Bell of Sistersville, Richard Bell of New Martinsville, and Jack (Gina) Bell of Fort Mill, S.C.; two daughters, Dianna (John) Assenza and Lesa Lovely, both of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brothers, Robert (Shirley) Yost of Winchester, Va., William Yost of Mannington, and James (Joyce) Yost of Morgantown; sister, Sara Ammons of Vienna; brother-in-law, Keith Ashcraft of Fairmont; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bell, on Feb. 12, 2011; and sister, Mary Ashcraft.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Sistersville United Methodist Church Roof Fund, 610 Main St., Sistersville, WV 26175.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
