James “Jimmy” Eddy, 48, a lifelong resident of Westover, passed away unexpectedly at his home from complications sustained from several medical issues on Thursday (Oct. 11, 2012).
Jimmy was born on Dec. 1, 1963, in Morgantown, to the late Ira Arnold Eddy, who passed away on Dec. 2, 2011, and Nancy Audia Eddy, who survives.
Jimmy had worked for State Farm Insurance, first with his father in Westover and later in Alpharetta, Ga. Jimmy had several hobbies and passions. He loved to travel and enjoyed nature.
He was always proud of playing “Danny Zuko” in Fairmont State College’s Summer Theatre. If he wasn’t restoring or cleaning classic cars, he could be found listening to music, singing or being with his family.
In addition to his mother, Jimmy leaves behind two sisters, Marci McCulla and her husband Bill and Lisa Boyles and her husband Chris, all of Westover; three nieces, Megan McCulla and her husband Lucas, Kate Slaughter and her husband Larkin, and Morgan Boyles; one nephew, Clark Boyles; close friends, Terrill Henthorne and Mike Lagatta; and several other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Cain and Rev. Nathan Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
