Franklin Eugene Barrows

Franklin Eugene Barrows, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday (Oct. 31, 2012).

He was born on Jan. 2, 1937. in Mannington, to William and Ruth Barrows.

After serving in the U.S. Marines, he lived in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia Beach, North Carolina, New Orleans and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he lived at the time of his death. He worked in sales most of his life, and he was a branch manager for Electrolux for many years. Frank was a member of Plantation Seventh Day Adventist Church in Florida.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Barrows; brothers, William Harvey Barrows in 2000, James Ray Barrows in 2006 and Thomas Edward Barrows in 2010; and his nephew, Thomas Craig Barrows in 2011.

He is survived by sisters, Martha Brown and her children, Craig Brown, Lisa Brown and Denise Anderson, and Mrs. Linda (Brent) Bradley and her daughters, Lori Keenan and Ruth Ann Rice; several great-nieces and nephews; and dear friends Sherry Wornkey, who always gave of herself during his illness and David Lopez, who once said, “Frank was like a father to me.” The family would like to thank Sherry and David for their friendship to Frank over the years. Frank will be greatly missed and forever remembered by many.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Mannington at a later date to be announced.
