Pansy Lee Yost

Pansy Lee Yost, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., went to be with the Lord on Saturday (April 12, 2008) at Schnepp Health Care Center in St. Louis.

Pansy Lee was born July 25, 1922, in Wadestown, the daughter of the late Olen E. and Marie O. (Eddy) Henderson.

She graduated from Wadestown High School class of 1939.

Pansy Lee married her beloved husband, Russell J. Yost on June 30, 1939, in Waynesburg, Pa. He preceded her in death in December of 1991.

She was a devoted daycare provider for 35 years. Pansy Lee was a member of the Eastern Star for 64 years and the West Warren Baptist Church in Wadestown. She attended the First Church of Nazarene for over 50 years. Pansy Lee loved to play cards and bingo.

Pansy Lee is survived by her children, John (Cherrie) Yost, and Douglas (Mary Ellen) Yost, both of Alma, David (Kimberly) Yost of Shepherd, and Nancy (Lee) Bohannon of Alma; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jo (Rex) Morris of Schenectady, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Yost; and a son, James L. Yost.

Funeral services for Pansy Lee will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Selvidge and Pastor Ralph Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on today from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
