Harry K. Hawkins passed away Saturday (Sept. 29, 2007) at Fairmont General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 9, 1914, in the Winfield community, the son of the late Nathaniel I. Hawkins and Ida M. Loar Hawkins, where his family had operated a dairy farm for three generations.
Mr. Hawkins was the husband of the late Mildred J. Robe Hawkins and the father of three children, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m.
