William “Bill” Bazuk, 97, of Colfax Road, Fairmont (White Hall), died at 4 p.m. Monday (June 25, 2007) at St. Barbara’s Nursing Home in Monongah.
He was known by his immediate family as “Pop.”
He was born Feb. 14, 1910, in Orient, Pa., a son of the late Steven and Julia Gargely Baczuk.
He was a dispatcher for the Bethlehem Mines at Idamay. He was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include four grandchildren, William T. Bunner, Bruce A. Bunner, Daniel K. Franklin, and Douglas A. Franklin; eight great-grandchildren Cynthia Zemerick, Christine Bunner, Michael Bunner, Jonathan Bunner, Jessica Librizzi, Carra Bunner, Allissa Bunner, Kelli Bunner, Kyra Franklin, Cameron Franklin, Carson Franklin; one great-great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Zemerick; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth L. Bazuk; a son, William Bazuk Jr.; a daughter, Barbara J. Franklin; two brothers, Andy Baczuk, and Frank Baczuk; and a sister, Clara Hawkins.
Friends and family may call at the Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Rd., Fairmont, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, where funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday with the the Rev. Alex Jalso officiating. Burial will be in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
